Our 21th Annual Mosaic for Mental Health Art Exhibition and Sale, “Art is Our Voice” is our signature fundraiser and key to our work. As a local leader and champion for mental health, we support the resilience, recovery and well-being of people living with mental illness in our community through our social programs, our support services and through the provision of information, resources, referrals, and advocacy in a space that is inclusive, safe, and respectful. We strive to create an environment of hope, to reduce stigma, and to promote mental health for all.

873 Mosaic Art Works have been donated for the 21st Mosaic for Mental Health.

Social program participants recently had the opportunity to comment on what the programs meant to them, and their responses show just how vital CMHA Halifax-Dartmouth is to their well-being. One member stated “Friendly space. I like to play games and socialize. It has provided me with social support. I’ve formed relationships with staff that are important to me. Provides me with coffee and food when I am in need. CMHA has provided me with a family and a home to come back to”. Members spoke about the inclusion they felt at the social clubs, saying “A nice, safe, inclusive environment”, and “I feel accepted”. However, to fully understand just how impactful these programs can be, consider the following statement from a Building Bridges member: “It saved my life”.

Thanks to the generosity of our artists, donors, sponsors and patrons, we have been able to continue to offer these crucial programs to our members, and once again we ask our community to help us reach our fundraising goal. In 2019, our goal is to raise $60,000.  The  21st Mosaic for Mental Health Organizing Committee is grateful for this support.  Should you have any questions please email Bev Cadham at bev.cadham.cmha@bellaliant.com or Marg Murray at margmurray.cmha@bellaliant.com (Branch Co-Manager’s) or call the office at 902-455-5445.
